Historic Lanterns
Light it Up
We have restored and conserved both gas and electric lanterns. Including what was once London's Smallest police station incorporated into the Bude Light on Trafalgar Square.
Lanterns have been made in copper, bronze, wrought and cast iron and often a cast iron or cast bronze column. We have been asked to relocate, repair and remake a variety of designs for the Crown Estates, Historic England, the City of London and the British Gas Lamplighters who maintain the function of nearly 1300 historic gas lanterns still operating today.
